Many people have asked us how we got engaged ... i.e. why now?  Well, it was really a natural evolution of the relationship and the end result of several conversations.  We've known for some time that we wanted to eventually get married, but that, for a variety of reasons, each of us was not yet ready.   Both of us have really changed and grown over the last year or so, so now we're ready.  We think you'll see from the ceremony that this wedding is really just a recognition of what already exists -- that this relationship is of utmost importance to each of us and that we want to build a life together.
